| Hello to all my wonderful friends! I know I have been slack when it comes to blogging, and I apologize, Summer is just too dang hard to fit everything you need to do and want to do in just one day! However, I do have some news for you all. Wolfie and I are going back to New York in August! I can't wait! I need to see my family and hug them all! That is the tough part, but Wolfie understands and is so kind and giving to me. I love this man dearly! I will keep you updated. On a different note....we went hiking this weekend again and ended up at Laurel Falls in the Smokies, it is a very popular trail, so we go up at the crack of dawn to beat the people and the heat, I have posted a few thumb nails which you can click on to enlarge. I just love the mtns! Okay, back to my title for this blog: Yes!!! I finally created a group, it is not listed because I prefer a low profile and I would rather share with my friends and their friends and their friends! I hope you join! and I hope you pass me on to your friends and so on! I am posting a little "Join" my group button here that you can click on to join. Yup! It's Summer!!! Hugssss to all my friends! I sure do miss everyone, but we all know that summer brings much time spent outside, at the beach, in the mountains camping, BBQing, and me with camera in hand at all times, (tee hee hee). Wolfie is doing remarkable! Just about back to "normal" and I have been for my second visit to the my Doctor, (as a patient) I am doing great! (huge sigh of relief!!!) I have lost all the swelling in my legs and feet (and I found out it was in my abdomen as well) but it is gone and I continue the water pill on an "as needed" basis! Yippieeeeee!!! I also have been breathing much better, with the fluid gone, I have lost 14 pounds as of Friday! omg I am sooooo happy! Wolfie and I have been walking, hiking, using weights and exercise ball, and treadmill along with the usual outdoor chores. I am sorry I haven't been here as often as I would like, but our health is much more important right now, I will try my best to get to everyone's blog as I can. I am here picking up messages every evening and continue to create custom themes, as ordered, but other than that I leave a quick message here and there on friends blogs......if anyone wants a theme, juss hollar! I have so many more new photographs to share along with a few pieces I turned into art, I will upload them as I can. I have a set of thumbnails here that I took of flowers and such...(most are my own). And most are this years. Just click on any thumbnail and it will enlarge the photo for you. I hope you enjoy! I hope everyone is enjoying the Memorial Day Holiday !  This weekend marks the beginning of summer fun, with BBQ's, camping, and many outdoor activities, and I wish everyone a safe & happy holiday weekend, but please remember what Memorial Day Holiday truly means....  It is a day to mourn, a day to remember our fallen soldiers, our veterans of war, those who fought for our freedom, so that we are able to have that picnic, so we can go camping, so that we may have our freedom to do whatever we want to do! Here is a bit of History on how we come to know and celebrate Memorial Day: Memorial Day was originally known as Decoration Day because it was a time set aside to honor the nation's Civil War dead by decorating their graves. It was first widely observed on May 30, 1868, to commemorate the sacrifices of Civil War soldiers, by proclamation of General John A. Logan of the Grand Army of the Republic, an organization of former sailors and soldiers. On May 5, 1868, Logan declared in General Order No. 11 that: The 30th of May, 1868, is designated for the purpose of strewing with flowers, or otherwise decorating the graves of comrades who died in defense of their country during the late rebellion, and whose bodies now lie in almost every city, village, and hamlet churchyard in the land. In this observance no form of ceremony is prescribed, but posts and comrades will in their own way arrange such fitting services and testimonials of respect as circumstances may permit. During the first celebration of Decoration Day, General James Garfield made a speech at Arlington National Cemetery, after which 5,000 participants helped to decorate the graves of the more than 20,000 Union and Confederate soldiers buried in the cemetery. This 1868 celebration was inspired by local observances of the day in several towns throughout America that had taken place in the three years since the Civil War. In fact, several Northern and Southern cities claim to be the birthplace of Memorial Day, including Columbus, Miss.; Macon, Ga.; Richmond, Va.; Boalsburg, Pa.; and Carbondale, Ill. In 1966, the federal government, under the direction of President Lyndon Johnson, declared Waterloo, N.Y., the official birthplace of Memorial Day. They chose WaterlooâÂÂwhich had first celebrated the day on May 5, 1866âÂÂbecause the town had made Memorial Day an annual, community-wide event during which businesses closed and residents decorated the graves of soldiers with flowers and flags. By the late 1800s, many communities across the country had begun to celebrate Memorial Day and, after World War I, observances also began to honor those who had died in all of America's wars. In 1971, Congress declared Memorial Day a national holiday to be celebrated the last Monday in May. (Veterans Day, a day set aside to honor all veterans, living and dead, is celebrated each year on November 11.) Today, Memorial Day is celebrated at Arlington National Cemetery with a ceremony in which a small American flag is placed on each grave. Also, it is customary for the president or vice-president to give a speech honoring the contributions of the dead and lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. About 5,000 people attend the ceremony annually. Happy Fourth of July everyone! Good morning and Happy 4th! Happy 231st Birthday America!! I hope everyone here in the USA is enjoying the Holiday! I am just going to share a bit of history, refresh our memories and remember why we celebrate our independence! Have a safe and happy day!.... The Declaration of Independence of the Thirteen Colonies | In CONGRESS, July 4, 1776 The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.
But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.
Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain [George III] is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.
He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.
He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained, and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.
He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.
He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.
He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people.
He has refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected; whereby the Legislative powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; the State remaining in the meantime exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within.
He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.
He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary powers.
He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.
He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance.
He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies, without the consent of our legislatures.
He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power.
He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:
- For protecting them by a mock Trial from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:
- For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world:
- For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:
- For depriving us in many cases of the benefits of Trial by Jury:
- For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences:
- For abolishing the free System of English Laws in a neighbouring Province, establishing therein an Arbitrary government, and enlarging its Boundaries so as to render it at once an example and fit instrument for introducing the same absolute rule into these Colonies:
- For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:
- For suspending our own Legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.
He has abdicated Government here by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us. He has plundered our seas, ravaged our Coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people.
He is at this time transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to complete the works of death, desolation and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of cruelty and perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized nation.
He has constrained our fellow Citizens taken Captive on the high Seas to bear Arms against their Country, to become the executioners of their friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands.
He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages, whose known rule of warfare is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.
In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms. Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.
Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our British brethren.
- We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us.
- We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here.
- We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence.
They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.
We, therefore, the Representatives of the United States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by the authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare.
That these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States; that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown
and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain is and ought to be totally dissolved;
and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce,
and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.

Good evening folks! I hope this blog finds you all well and happy! My dear friend, Red has posted a blog about us folks taking a pic of ourselves with our camera's, well with photography being my passion, I find this to be a very fun idea!...Let's see how many of you will do this and post it on your profile...please go read Red's blog >>>> Red's Blog and let's see how many folks post a pic...... The pic above is the same one I took with my web cam today....I just applied it to a pic I took at Cumberland Falls in Kentucky in the fall of 2005....neat huh?... tee hee hee! I have been keeping pretty steady these days, with working, canning, making apple butter and apple pies, etc. After all tis' the Harvest season...my favorite time of the season!....I have been playing in MASH a bit, creating more tiled backgrounds that will work in both here in 360 and in MASH. I pray that Yahoo basically adds some of the goodies from Mash to 360.... I love my 360 blog, I love my 360 friends!....I have met so many wonderful people here in the 360 community.....I am not truly fond of MASH, other than we can use animations, and GIFs....no limit to the size of the backgound, all the things we asked for here in 360.... I love the way we can blog over here....I guess we will have to keep our fingers crossed and see what 2008 brings..... Well I have said enough....lol!.... Hello Everyone! Well I am trying very hard to get caught up on the blogs and my pics and yard work, house chores etc. LOL! I am having a hard time getting back into the swing of things. Not sure why, it just seems like by the time I get home from work, get all the chores done that need getting done, I log on here about 7-7:30 pm and poof! it's 8-9 pm! I read my mail, my online newspaper, and then before I know it, it's time for bed! ( I watch a few shows Tuesday through Thursday at 8 and 9 pm) Geesh I just don't know where the time goes...Anyway.....I am adding a group of thumbnails that I took at the Ripley's Aquarium, all you have to do is click on them to enlarge them...one by one.... hugssssss to you all!....I will be back again soon!....Oh yeah..... Hi everyone! First off, I am a tad annoyed with yahoo 360!...Darn it all.... I cannot upoload ANY custom background themes, not even ones my friends have created....It seems it is "My Turn" for yahoo to mess with.....I will just sit tight and hope it blows over LOL!....Wolfie is doing better everyday...I weeded, n whacked in four of my flower gardens today and I weedwhacked the dang hills and cleaned up around our stone borders. I am whooped! my arms hurt again, but I feel okay, much better than last time. I dont think I will be here much this week or next....This week during the week I have no time, and as of Friday, the 27th, I am on vacation from work, my youngest son is flying down for 10 days......yippieeeeeee!!!!! Well I said I would get a few of my photographs/digital art pieces up, so here I go: I am going to post probably once or twice a week, depending on what I have to do during the week....Remember, you can always go to my galleries, which is posted on my front page as my homepage to view my work: I just thought it might be fun to post a few here n there: Today will be a few wildlife photo's I took:  Momma & one of the twin cubs  Another shot of momma with the other cub This is a different day, I think this one was a young fella foraging for nuts n berries  Love the deer! This one was taken on a Thanksgiving Day in Cades Cove  Nice rack on this dude! A close up of a doe in fresh fallen snow Peek a Boo! Next is a Timber Rattler!   The Story Behind this dude was so damn frightening! I was "hoppin' the rocks in the Little River in the Smoky Mtns and almost hopped on this guy!.... I stopped myself just in time!...I was trying to motion to Wolfie to come quietly to come "Save ME!! " he had no idea, so when he got close enough he seen the fear in my eyes, he very slowly STOOD BEHIND ME!!! The big bad wolf was a chicken shit!....LOL! Seriously, he allowed me two-three shots then he grabbed my by my hoody and yanked me back toward him as hard and as fast as he could......I swear This timber rattler has Satin in his eyes, and later I really realized just how lucky I was....these guys can strike the length of their body, and this dude was at least 5 ft long! He could have easily bitten me....Phew!!! Between the bears and the snakes, I must say it gets the adrenaline pumping!....I really prefer NOT stumbling upon these creatures, but heck, I reckon if I am gonna play in the woods in the mtns, then I gotta play with critters!...lol!...hope ya'll enjoy my photography....I will post more "Sneek Peeks" later, perhaps insects next time, or maybe the Zoo, or maybe my florals, or maybe my scenary, ......or maybe my.....LOL! Hey Folks! Hope all is going great for you all! We went hiking on Saturday, (finally!) We hiked 8.3 mi. total( and boy oh boy are my calves hurting today!) LOL!....It was a moderate hike with frequently uphill and rocky terrain, but I loved it! I have posted a few pics of the trail along the way. Wolfie likes to go off the "beaten path" from time to time and every time he does, I have to follow (reluctantley) and every time we run into "something"...Well this time we stumbled upon the "remains" of a very old "Al Capone" car. I told Wolfie it was probably used to run moonshine in the Smokeys....as I was focusing my camera to take a shot of the car, we heard this noise, which I thought sounded like a child talking excitedly, in the distance.....we stopped and listened and low and behold, we heard it again....it was a bobcat scolding us! omg! I was sooooo scared! I thought I was gonna pee my pants!....well I took a few FAST shots and believe me, we scooted back to that trail ASAP! the "cat" never came close nor could we even see it, but let me tell ya'....it was very very distinctive and was making it loud and clear it did NOT want us there, so we obliged! Dang it I HATE it when Wolfie does that!...He knows darn well we are gonna run into something....I am not doing it again!...he can but not me...I am staying on the blasted trail....He gets a "rush" out of it, I am positive...anyway...we are here in one piece...LOL! I also have been doing a few floral bouquet paintings and have added them here too. I pray all is well with everyone and I miss hearing from you all....I am sure as the winter chill sets in, we will be here a little more often. Hi Folks! Well this is no April Fool's Joke, dang it ! My file host dropped out off the face of the Earth, so now neither my work, or my music are available to view.... Oh well.... I am getting a few things uploaded elsewhere, and I am using a free file hosting this time....I am NOT paying for it again. It will take a little time, but I will get it all back up and visible again...Sorry about that.....Life here is still a little hectic, but we are managing better with every day. My arms are so damn sore. LOL! I have been on our hills with wolfie, weed whacking the darn things, and let me tell you, I can hardly lift my arms up an inch!... LOL!!! the rest of me is not too bad, but omg, I have no upper body strength at all, but by the time I am done with this summer I should be!... It's all good..really! Wolfie and I are getting on better with each day, we continue to be smoke free, Yea!!!! I am a tad short these days though..lol....and that is not me, but I guess it is part of it. Alot going on with family too....It's Spring...typical "new beginnings" etc. I will be back again to try and touch base with as many blogs as I can...until next time..... Hi Everyone! I hope all has been well with everyone! Now with the weather being nice, I have been outside with Wolfie, mowing, weed whacking, weeding, playing in my flower beds, etc. Update on the Wolf: He is doing great, still going to P/T and increasing his mobility with every day, so soon he will back to normal, yippieeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!! I miss my family alot these days, I guess it is because the kids were suppose to come down for Easter, but unexpected issues have arose and they can't make it. I may fly up there, still not sure, but it wont be Easter time, it will have to be later on, due to wolfie needing me here and I need to put in for time off at work, and get approved. Anyway, I have created a few more background themes, here and in my groups folders. I am trying to get to everyone's blog this weekend, I will do my best to catch up. I am adding a few of my artworks that I created from my photography, These Spring flowers are in my gardens. I hope you enjoy!
