I hope everyone here in the USA is enjoying the Holiday! I am just going to share a bit of history, refresh our memories and remember why we celebrate our independence!

The Declaration of Independence
of the Thirteen Colonies

In CONGRESS, July 4, 1776

The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America

 When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

 We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

 Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

 But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

 Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain [George III] is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.

 He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

 He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained, and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.

 He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.

 He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.

 He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people.

 He has refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected; whereby the Legislative powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; the State remaining in the meantime exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within.

 He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.

 He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary powers.

 He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.

 He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance.

 He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies, without the consent of our legislatures.

 He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power.

 He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:

  • For protecting them by a mock Trial from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:
  • For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world:
  • For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:
  • For depriving us in many cases of the benefits of Trial by Jury:
  • For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences:
  • For abolishing the free System of English Laws in a neighbouring Province, establishing therein an Arbitrary government, and enlarging its Boundaries so as to render it at once an example and fit instrument for introducing the same absolute rule into these Colonies:
  • For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:
  • For suspending our own Legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.
 He has abdicated Government here by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us.

 He has plundered our seas, ravaged our Coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people.

 He is at this time transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to complete the works of death, desolation and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of cruelty and perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized nation.

 He has constrained our fellow Citizens taken Captive on the high Seas to bear Arms against their Country, to become the executioners of their friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands.

 He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages, whose known rule of warfare is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.

 In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms. Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

 Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our British brethren.

  • We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us.
  • We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here.
  • We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence.

 They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.

 We, therefore, the Representatives of the United States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by the authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare.

 That these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States; that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown

 and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain is and ought to be totally dissolved;

 and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce,

 and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.

Hugs to all my wonderful friends!!! I know you all have been leaving me messages and comments asking what is going on..... Well I have been on vacation with my son, as most of you know....Yes he went back on Sunday, and I went back to work on Monday, and you all know how limited my time has been since February.....Please give me until the weekend to get my act together...lol!.... I have much to share with you all, but I have not much time right now....love n miss you all!

I will be back again by the weekend....

Hugssssssssssss Everyone!!! I just wanted to share my slide show of a few pics my mom sent me that she took today of the twins! Joey took the twins and Great Gramma to the mall today....Mom says these are only the first set she is emailing, that there are more!...LOL!...I compiled them and created this slide show...hope you like!..My precious grandbabies are growing up so darn fast!...As you can see in these photo's ....Memphis, the first born is on the left...she is more reserved and serious, while Kamryn, the smallest twin is quite the Ham! LOL!

The Story Behind this dude was so damn frightening! I was "hoppin' the rocks in the Little River in the Smoky Mtns and almost hopped on this guy!.... I stopped myself just in time!...I was trying to motion to Wolfie to come quietly to come "Save ME!! " he had no idea, so when he got close enough he seen the fear in my eyes, he very slowly STOOD BEHIND ME!!! The big bad wolf was a chicken shit!....LOL! Seriously, he allowed me two-three shots then he grabbed my by my hoody and yanked me back toward him as hard and as fast as he could......I swear This timber rattler has Satin in his eyes, and later I really realized just how lucky I was....these guys can strike the length of their body, and this dude was at least 5 ft long! He could have easily bitten me....Phew!!! Between the bears and the snakes, I must say it gets the adrenaline pumping!....I really prefer NOT stumbling upon these creatures, but heck, I reckon if I am gonna play in the woods in the mtns, then I gotta play with critters!...lol!...hope ya'll enjoy my photography....I will post more "Sneek Peeks" later, perhaps insects next time, or maybe the Zoo, or maybe my florals, or maybe my scenary, ......or maybe my.....LOL!
I tell you what, I will create a poll......then you can tell me!.....

Hello everyone....I hope this blog finds everyone well! Things are fine here, still hectic, and I am sort of "winding down" But all is good....I miss you all....

I am posting this a few days early because I know I wont have time on Tuesday...Besides I believe this should have more than one day for a tribute....As most of you know I am a native New Yorker, so this hits close to home for me, although I do know that 911 has definatley left a whole in everyones world. I created a remembrance video in honor of all who lost their lives that fateful day, I hope you all watch it. Please take a few moments to look back, watch and listen, but most of all......to remember, and to pray.....Amen!

Hey Y'all!

Just another quick note to say hi and hope all is going well with everyone!

Like my new background?.... I created it tonight, and added a few of my photographs on it... Yup!!! I took that pic of that momma bear with her twins!... I tried to get them all visible but I was a little nervous!... LOL! You just don't mess with momma and her babies, so I tried to give her as much respect as I SAFELY could! I wasn't about to get "stupid" and become "lunch".... lmao! The pic of the deer was in the Smoky Mtns too! I am going to take the time to post more of my photography and digital art... Hopefully this weekend, maybe Sunday.....I just wanted to drop a quick note..... Hope you enjoy my photography and digital art.... Also posted the latest pics of the twins my son emailed to me....

Hi everyone!

Well here I am trying my best to catch up on things...Why is it that the older we get, the harder it is to catch up on things? (It's a trick, I tell ya') LOL! Wolfie & I are doing great, actually....I am still in a slight state of depression though, I go through this every time I go back home and then have to leave, but I am okay, really.....I just miss my family alot, and they miss me.....I know they will come to visit soon (in intervals) so that means alot to me. I wanted to thank you all who commented on my hair, I don't like it, but it will grow back, it makes me LOOK TOO DAMN OLD!!! LOL! (who said 50 was old anyway?) tee hee hee....As you probably have noticed, I took the dang thing off my profile. Nuff said......

I created a slide show of my "Beebs" and my son, and my oldest granddaughter, Shawna .....hope you enjoy...also thumbs of the cabin we stayed in (which was, by the way, 8 minutes from where I lived) that was weird, but we had so much fun!. I hope all is well with everyone. Please keep in touch....I will try to get to your blogs by the end of this holiday weekend....I hope you have a wonderful Labor Day! Much love & blessings

Hi Folks!

Well this is no April Fool's Joke, dang it !

My file host dropped out off the face of the Earth, so now neither my work, or my music are available to view.... Oh well.... I am getting a few things uploaded elsewhere, and I am using a free file hosting this time....I am NOT paying for it again. It will take a little time, but I will get it all back up and visible again...Sorry about that.....Life here is still a little hectic, but we are managing better with every day. My arms are so damn sore. LOL! I have been on our hills with wolfie, weed whacking the darn things, and let me tell you, I can hardly lift my arms up an inch!... LOL!!! the rest of me is not too bad, but omg, I have no upper body strength at all, but by the time I am done with this summer I should be!... It's all good..really!

Wolfie and I are getting on better with each day, we continue to be smoke free, Yea!!!!

I am a tad short these days though..lol....and that is not me, but I guess it is part of it. Alot going on with family too....It's Spring...typical "new beginnings" etc. I will be back again to try and touch base with as many blogs as I can...until next time..... I wish you all much love and many blessings and I miss you all! Hi Everyone!

I hope all has been well with everyone!

Now with the weather being nice, I have been outside with Wolfie, mowing, weed whacking, weeding, playing in my flower beds, etc. Update on the Wolf: He is doing great, still going to P/T and increasing his mobility with every day, so soon he will back to normal, yippieeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!

I miss my family alot these days, I guess it is because the kids were suppose to come down for Easter, but unexpected issues have arose and they can't make it. I may fly up there, still not sure, but it wont be Easter time, it will have to be later on, due to wolfie needing me here and I need to put in for time off at work, and get approved. Anyway, I have created a few more background themes, here and in my groups folders. I am trying to get to everyone's blog this weekend, I will do my best to catch up. I am adding a few of my artworks that I created from my photography, These Spring flowers are in my gardens. I hope you enjoy!

I am also adding two of my favorite short You Tube video's.....Hope they make you laugh!

First, I will update a lil bit on da Wolf...He is doing very well, he still tires easily though. He goes to see the surgeon tomorrow morning (which is in the same medical building I work in) We will probably go in together, since he has been driving, against Dr's authorization (he's such a rebel! )

Anyway, things are looking a little better. We went to the grocery store together, dang every time he goes, I spend almost double! What's up with that? We did buy alot of healthy things so I am okay with it....Okay...enuff said....Time for the links: Much love & blessings to you all!

Blog EntryMy Hubby's Surgery is tomorrowFeb 11, '07 12:34 AM

Tomorrow is my hubby's surgery, so I will be there all day and night. I wil try to be here Tuesday at some point. I do know he has to stay the night there, due to the added torn muscle that needs to be repaired in his shoulder as well as the rotator cuff thingy. We have been busy yesterday and today preparing, buying stuff he needs to take with him, (whities/all cotton, etc.) Sweats, and easy on shirts for him to be able to get off and on for the next 2 months. We also took a day trip to our mountains yesterday. We both needed that! It was sooooo beautiful, but Very Cold! Brrrrrr.....

I took quite a few shots of the water and ice formations. I will post them when I have the chance. (yea, when ever that will be) Never enough time in the day anymore, with working full time now, that seems that is all I have time for now days. I wish I could go back to part time again, especially with Wolfie off for a bit, recouperating. Financially, we are set, no worries there, but we are trying to save extra for our retirement, so we can travel across the U.S. I am really looking forward to that! I only hope we are well and able by the time retirement comes! LOL! I know I am going to "retire" when Wolfie does, even though I wont be of age then, I have worked since I was 16years old, after school, in between babies, and while I was in college, through it all, like most folks I know, and I am tired! I want to pursue my photography and digital art again, pick up where I left off a couple of years ago. (Wolfie let me quit my job and stay home for a year to get my photography sales up n running) I still sell online, and I get quite a few orders, but nothing major where I cannot fill the orders on the weekends. Sigh!

Oh well, enough of my "whining", I will "trudge" on until I can do what I love. lol sorry folks...I guess I am a little worried about Wolfie's surgery, after all, it is going to take time for him to recover and get things back to normal around here. He will be able to go back to work in a week or two, but only because he is the boss of his company. He wont be able to type though, well left handed, he can, but he will mostly delegate and go to meetings and such, perhaps talk to clients over the phone, etc. The driving will be left handed too, so I hope he can drive the truck, if not he will have to take my little car...what a site that will be...Wolfie is 6'4" LOL!....well thats it for now folks. I will let everyone know how the Wolf made out as soon as I can.

On a quick note: Today I celebrate 20 days of being smoke free!...Yahooo!!!!! I still have a period or two in the day where something "triggers" the mind game of "NEEDING" a cigarette, but I will not give in!.....I have come too darn far!....Next on the agenda is excercise!...I have slacked in the treadmill department, but I need to make the time!...anyway...Until next time!!!!! Muahzzzzzz!!!

"It's Winter Before We Know It"

Time has a way of moving quickly and catching you unaware of the passing years.

It seems just yesterday that I was young, just married and embarking on my new life with my mate. And yet in a way, it seems like eons ago, and I wonder where all the years went. I know that I lived them all...

And I have glimpses of how it was back then and of all my hopes and dreams... But, here it is..the winter of my life and it catches me by surprise...

How did I get here so fast? Where did the years go and where did my babies go? And where did my youth go?

I remember well... seeing older people through the years and thinking that those older people were years away from me and that winter was so far off that I could not fathom it or imagine fully what it would be like...

But, here it is...wife retired and she's really getting gray...she moves slower and I see an older woman now. She's in better shape than me... but, I see the great change... Not the one I married who was young and vibrant... but, like me, her age is beginning to show and we are now those older folks that we used to see and never thought we'd be.

Each day now, I find that just getting a shower is a real target for the day- And taking a nap is not a treat anymore...it's mandatory! Cause if I don't on my own free will...I just fall asleep where I sit!

And so, now I enter into this new season of my life unprepared for all the aches and pains and the loss of strength and ability to go and do things.

But, at least I know, that though the winter has come, and I'm not sure how long it will last...This I know- that when it's over...its over...Yes, I have regrets .There are things I wish I hadn't done ,,,,,things I should have done. But indeed, there are many things I'm happy to have done Its all in a lifetime...

So, if you're not in your winter yet...let me remind you that it will be here faster than you think. Whatever you would like to accomplish in your life please do it quickly!

Life goes by rapidly, so do what you can today. You can never be sure whether or not this is your winter.

You have no promise that you will see all the seasons of your life... live for good today and say all the things that you want your loved ones to remember...

"Life is a gift to you. The way you live your life is your gift to those who came after. Make it a fantastic one."

I pray everyone is well and enjoying the end of our weekend. Back to work tomorrow....Speaking of tomorrow...my youngest son will be 25 years old tomorrow....Where did the years go?

This portrait is a photograph I digitally painted of my youngest twin grand daughter, Memphis when she was brought home from the hospital. Memphis Mary Skye is one minute older than her sister.
I just wanted to share a much better view of my precious grand babies with you. They were born December 5, 2006. I do have a few photo's of their birthday party that the kids sent to me, I posted one up above. Kamryn (the youngest) is on the left, Memphis (the oldest) is on the right.I cannot believe how fast they grow!
I miss them so much!
I am waiting for Christmas photo's, as soon as I get those I will post a few of those too.
My sweet little girls! Headed for "terrible two's!"
I just can't wait to see them again! They will all be here in the Spring! I am counting the days, for sure!

~Christmas Blessings~

Today I had the most wonderful day!....

I have been pretty down about not being with my family in New York for the holidays.....I was hoping that at least one of my sons would be able to come down here for Christmas, but with money being tight this year for them all, it was impossible. Wolfie & I went up in September, so we had no time available at our jobs to take off to go there.

When I woke up this morning, I felt at peace with my Lord, I love that feeling! Wolfie & I went about our little Christmas traditions. He made Christmas breakfast, and I went about my phone calls to my family.

My oldest son called me first....hearing all the hustle & bustle of his young step-children, the laughter & busyness of their early morning took me back to when my children were little. I was listening to my grandchildren and reminicing of a Christmas past.

That made me feel warm inside, but at the same time realizing that I miss my sons when they were young.

I smiled and told my son to call me a little later when the kids settled in to their new toys. My oldest granddaughter was next to call me. My son and I chipped in and bought her a Kodak Print n Share camera/printer set. She was ecstatic!

I almost forgot how fast a New Yorker talks when they are all excited!...lol! She was already taking photo's of everything in site!

Next was my middle son, his family was equally busy buzzing around, the kids were laughing & giggling, dad was trying to put toys together....ah!!!! the memories

Then, my sweet, wonderful awsome mother called....She is the sweetest, most beautiful woman I know! We talked about our Christmas' past too.....She was remembering when I was a little tike, lol! Sneaking down the stairs in the middle of night coz' "Santa Claus" had been there. We laughed and teared up and smiled together, we both felt the love and warmth of Christmas' past, Christmas present, and felt blessed for Christmas' yet to come.

My wonderful mother makes all kinds of baked goodies for my whole family at Christmas time. From cookies, candies, breads, cheesecakes, and spinach, sausage and cheese stuffed breads. She even shipped a package down to Wolfie & me via Overnight, so we could share in her Holiday Tradition!

Now, my youngest son....he calls to tell me that the twins will be celebrating their Christmas a little bit later in the day. Mom works awake night staff and has been running on 5 hours sleep for two days of trying to keep up with the holidays. Which is fine, she needed to sleep, and the twins are young enough, they just turned 1 year old on December 5th.

My son called me about 5pm and asked me to get online so he could web cam with me n Wolf so we could watch the babies open their gifts! What a wonderful thing! My son brought his Christmas to me! I sat there watching and listening to them sing and giggle and jibber jabber away!

This touched my heart! This whole Blessed day had touched me in many ways..... Even though our family could not be together this year, we WERE STILL TOGETHER.....What a precious day! I thank my Lord for the wonderful things He does!

I pray that each one of you had a very Blessed day as I did!
